Will uk cards work in uk atm's or do they require the chip I can't seem to get an honest answer?

Your most probably getting no real answer cos the question doesnt make sense, all uk cards have chip and pin now, if you mean using an msr to write your own cards yes they will still work in an atm cos if the chip is damaged it falls back to the magstripe anyway so if your writing your own they will still work in uk atms as it'll fall back to the magstripe when it can't read a chip other than that i dont understand what your asking umless you meant will us cards work in uk atm it depends if the card is an international one and a lot of banks now like you to ring them before going away so they know and the cards will be cleared when used abroad.
